The Mugello is a historic region and valley in northern Tuscany. Discover all the opportunities that Alto Mugello gives you. Sitting right on the heart between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, you can find several interesting places to visit. From the famous Mugello Circuit to the most popular hike Via degli Dei, a 130-km route which famously connects the historic center of Florence to Bologna. Filled with biodiversity and echoes of its Etruscan and Roman past, the route pass through the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine right at the edge of the Property il Forno.

Via degli Dei (Path of Gods)   Bologna Florence

The north side of the property adiejent is home to the most enchanting stretch of the Flaminia Militare, the ancient trail along which the famous Via degli Dei (https://en.viadeglidei.it) unfolds connecting Bologna to Florence and passing through the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines

Roman paved road Strada Romana Passo della Futa (Florence)

The remains of the Roman paved road which attracts thousands of hikers, travelers and mountain bikers every year can be admired between San Benedetto Val di Sambro (Bologna) and Passo della Futa (Florence) 1,190 meters, (3,300 feet)

Acqua Panna Scarperia (Florence)

Located at 6 Km from the Property, you may visit the prestigious Acuqa Panna Villa and facility.

AcquaPanna (https://www.acquapanna.com/it/) is one of the world's largest bottled water brands. Acqua Panna takes its name from Villa Panna in the hills of Tuscany, where the natural spring was first discovered. The iconic fleur de lis, found on the Acqua Panna label today, reflects the water’s Tuscan roots and connection to the Medici family. Over 450 years ago an official deed established the Panna Natural Reserve, protecting the natural environment of the Medici family’s hunting estate. Which, to this day remains a nature reserve dedicated to local flora and fauna and the home of the pure Acqua Panna spring.

Mugello Circuit Scarperia (Florence)

Situated at 10 Km from the Property il Forno you may also visit the fantastic Mugello Circuit (https://mugellocircuit.com) owned by Scuderia Ferrari since 1988. Designed in 70's and later greatly remodeled by Ferrari, "the Mugello" is one of the most scenic, modern and safe racing facilities in the world. Fully operational year round, the Mugello circuit is the regular test centre of Ferrari F1, the most important manufacturer of MotoGP and World Superbike, other prestigious manufacturer cars italian and international. The track runs over 5.000 m through the forests and green areas. The elevated areas along the track permit the spectators to take part fully in the race: to experience strong emotions ad protagonists.
